Jaume Mont\u00e9s is an FPU predoctoral fellow in the Department of Sociology at the Universitat de Barcelona. His doctoral project, titled “Political Freedom, Property and Sovereignty in the Republican Federalism of Pi y Margall”, traces the history of the fundamental concepts that structured Pi y Margall’s thought. It also examines the social, economic, and political institutions Pi proposed as alternatives to the liberal state in Spain during its construction and consolidation. Jaume has conducted research stays at the Universit\u00e9 de Rouen Normandie and the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid and has published articles on republicanism, the history of political ideas, and state theory in various academic journals and edited volumes. He is also a member of the editorial boards of\u00a0Debats pel Dem\u00e0<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Sin Permiso<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
