El focus d\u2019atenci\u00f3 primari de l\u2019\u00e0rea \u00e9s explicar la relaci\u00f3 entre l\u2019escala poblacional dels municipis i la construcci\u00f3, disseny, i funcionament institucional. S\u2019explora la idea de la representaci\u00f3 pol\u00edtica i les pol\u00edtiques p\u00fabliques locals, aix\u00ed com la compatibilitat escalar entre el concepte de mandat i la rendici\u00f3 de comptes.<\/p>\n

Aix\u00ed mateix, estudia individuar els comicis locals, \u00e9s a dir, analitzar la capacitat anticipat\u00f2ria d\u2019aquest tipus d\u2019eleccions, la consideraci\u00f3 d\u2019eleccions de segon ordre, el pes del liderat local, entre altres, a fi d\u2019extreure el que les eleccions municipals tenen de propi, all\u00f2 que les caracteritza i que les diferencia de la resta de comicis.<\/p>\n

Per \u00faltim, s\u2019analitza el funcionament i contingut de les institucions aix\u00ed com la seva capacitat a respondre a les demandes socials, als contextos pol\u00edtics i econ\u00f2mics i al desenvolupament de les tasques i serveis.<\/p>\n
