{"id":219,"date":"2020-04-13T11:18:52","date_gmt":"2020-04-13T09:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/gret\/about\/"},"modified":"2021-03-07T12:19:01","modified_gmt":"2021-03-07T10:19:01","slug":"the-group","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/gret\/the-group\/","title":{"rendered":"The group"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>About us<\/h1>\n<h2>Grup de Recerca en Toxicologia<\/h2>\n<p><em>Members of the Toxicology Unit of the Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutical Chemistry Department <\/em><em>form\u00a0GRET: Research Group in Toxicology. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>GRET is an <strong>AGAUR consolidated research<\/strong> group from 2005, renewed 2009 and 2014 (2014SGR566) and then renovated at every competitive call until today (2017SGR6).\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a research group, GRET is also appointed to the Nutrition and Food Safety Research Institute of the UB (<strong>INSA<\/strong>). Led by Dr. Jes\u00fas G\u00f3mez-Catal\u00e1n, GRET develops several research projects with public and private funds, as well as contract-services for companies from different fields related with toxicity evaluation and risk assessment.<\/p>\n<p>The GRET forms, together with the Experimental Toxicology and Ecotoxicology Unit (<strong><a style=\"color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcb.ub.edu\/en\/serveis\/utox\/\">UTOX<\/a><\/strong>) of the Scientific Park of Barcelona (PCB), the Center for Research in Toxicology (<strong>CERETOX<\/strong>), integrated into the <strong>TECNIO<\/strong> network promoted by Generalitat of Catalunya.<\/p>\n<h2>General research lines<\/h2>\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\tDevelopmental toxicity evaluation using alternative models<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n<h3>\n\t\t\t\t\tHealth risk assessment of exposure to toxic substances<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About us Grup de Recerca en Toxicologia Members of the Toxicology Unit of the Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutical Chemistry Department form\u00a0GRET: Research Group in Toxicology.
