ABOUT US
It is a research group created in 1997, at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona. It was founded by Dr. Rafael Bisquerra Alzina, who led the group in its first stage. In 2008 it was Dr. Nuria Pérez-Escoda who continued the coordination and, at present, the group is interuniversity and is led by Dr. Èlia López-Cassà at the University of Barcelona, while at the University of Lleida, the group is led by Dr. Gemma Filella Guiu since 2001.
Among our most outstanding achievements are numerous and diverse research projects and publications related to the application and evaluation of emotional education programs, validation of emotional competence assessment instruments, design of educational programs for prevention and personal and social development, and decision-making, among others. Likewise, the creation of the Postgraduate and Master’s Degrees in Emotional Education and Wellbeing, the Postgraduate Degree in Emotional Intelligence in Organisations, and the Emotional Education Conferences.

As well as the study of variables involved in personal and educational success, with special attention to the development of guidance and tutoring practices, and to the analysis of educational inequalities from an intersectional and anti-racist perspective.
