The IBUB-OBD Early Career Day, organized by IBUB in collaboration with the Bioethics and Law Observatory (OBD), was successfully held on May 22nd, 2026, at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Barcelona.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together 180 attendees and reaching 100% occupancy of the Aula Magna. The meeting provided an outstanding platform for early-career researchers—including Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral fellows—to showcase their research and strengthen connections within the IBUB community.
Throughout the day, participants presented their work through poster presentations, oral communications, and flash communications. The scientific quality of the contributions was exceptionally high, generating lively discussions and promoting the exchange of knowledge across different research areas.
A highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, which recognized the most outstanding presentations in each category. Prizes with a total value of €900 were awarded in the form of Amazon gift cards to the best oral communication, flash communication, and poster presentation.
The organizing committee would like to sincerely thank all presenters, attendees, evaluators, and collaborators for their enthusiasm, participation, and commitment, which were key to making this edition such a success. We are especially grateful for the trust placed in this initiative and look forward to continuing to support and promote the next generation of researchers through future editions of the Early Career Day.
