Full Professor specializing in Art and New Media at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona (since 1993). Vice-Dean of Research, Doctorates and Postgraduate Studies since 2016. Director of the Department of Design and Image (2012-2016). She combines her teaching and research experience with criticism, curation and the realization of various projects for the web environment. She has organized numerous seminars and exhibitions on art and new media. Among her exhibition curatorships stand out CTRL + [SELF]: Intimacy, Extimacy and Control in the Age of the Self ‘s Overexposure (2016), at Studio XX in Montreal; Multiverso I (2016) and Multiverso II (2017-2018) and Multiverso III (2018-2019) at the BBVA Foundation in Madrid; Breaking the rules: play and ethical challenge in art (2015) at the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City; Homo Ludens Ludens (2008), at Laboral Center for Art and Industrial Creation in Gijón (31 international artists), and the exhibition Videoarde. Critical video in Latin America and the Caribbean (32 international artists), supported by the AECID Network of Cultural Centers and the Cervantes Institute, which has traveled to several cities around the world (2009: Mexico, Montevideo, Quito, Guayaquil, Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Rosario; 2010: Manizales, Lima, Cusco, Asunción, Managua and Miami; 2011: Athens, Istanbul and Casablanca. 2012: Rio de Janeiro; 2015: Havana and Camagüey). Monograph Multiverso I and Multiverso II in Metròpolis RTVE (2016) and Monograph Carta blanca to curators in the RTVE program Metròpolis on VIDEOARDE (28/10/2012).
He has published articles and essays on art and activism on the net, video and game.art, and the books: Video in Latin America. A critical history (AECID and Brumaria, 2008), Net.art. Aesthetic and political practices on the Internet, (with Lourdes Cilleruelo, Edicions UB and Brumaria, 2006) and Video. First stage: Video in the social and artistic context of the 60s/70s (Brumaria, 2004), which received the Prize for Creation and Art Criticism in 2005, from the Espais de Girona Foundation. Also the University Manuals Video and Historical Avant-gardes (UB, 1997) and Digital Video Creation (UOC, 2004).
