A team led by Dr. Ana Calpena (NanoBioPharma), together with researchers from Ecuador, Honduras, have introduced a new formulation of baricitinib for the topical treatment of psoriasis. In this work, Petrolatum formulations(liquid and solid) were used. Both MCT-based formulations of baricitinib suggest that they are potential candidates for psoriasis treatment and a significant factor in the rational design of topical JAK inhibitor formulations.
