Dr. María del Puerto Morales is senior scientist at the Institute of Material Science in Madrid (ICMM/CSIC), leading the Laboratory of Colloidal Nanocrystals and Chemistry at Materials for Medicine and Biotechnology Group (MaMBIO). Degree in Chemistry by the University of Salamanca and PhD in Material Science from the Madrid Autonomous University. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Systems of the University of Wales (UK). Her research activities are focused on the area of nanotechnology, to provide new insights into the properties of nanomaterials and their application in fields such as bioimaging, nanomedicine, catalysis, magnetic devices and sensors.
In frame of the IN2UB – International Research Seminars, Dr. María del Puerto Morales will focus her talk on Magnetic Nanoreactors for Environmental Applications.
