Hydroxyapatite (HAP) has been extensively used as a bioactive ceramic due to its biocompatibility and biodegradability and a wide range of research is ongoing to prepare micro\/nanostructured HAP. The main objective of this work has been develop a new and straightforward method for the electrochemical fabrication of HAP on FTO (Fluorine-doped Tin Oxide) in a new electrolyte solution containing calcium and phosphate precursors, along with sodium nitrate and hydrogen peroxide.
