Leveraging biologging data for population demography and conservation

Vultures are vital scavengers but among the most threatened bird groups, facing poisoning, habitat loss, and infrastructure related mortality. Their survival depends on understanding how they navigate dangerous landscapes. This presentation highlights how GPS-based movement ecology can guide vulture conservation by quantifying their population demography and threats, and inform conservation strategies. Integrating behavioral, spatial, and demographic data provides a scalable framework to protect vultures and other wide-ranging
