Journal of Experimental Phonetics (Journal of Experimental Phonetics) is the double-blind peer-reviewed annual scientific journal of the Phonetics Laboratory of the University of Barcelona. It has been published since 1984. The readership of the journal includes phoneticians, laboratory phonologists and, in general, scholars interested in speech sounds.

Aims and scope

Estudios de Fonética Experimental (short title: EFE) publishes original research articles related to any branch of experimental phonetics (for example, articulatory, acoustic, perceptual, applied) and of laboratory phonology. It also publishes papers about theoretical aspects of phonetics, and reviews of books on phonetics and laboratory phonology.

Articles may be published in English, French, Spanish and Italian, as well as in Catalan and Galician.
