An SRP (Study and Research Path) is a way of describing an inquiry process undertaken by a group of individuals X (students or pupils), guided by a teacher or a team of teachers Y.
The starting point of an SRP is always an open-ended question, known as the generative question. This question initiates the SRP, which concludes when the students X, with the support of the teachers Y, formulate a response.
Throughout the path, participants are expected to raise new questions, search for and validate information, study and produce new knowledge, and develop partial responses, among other tasks.
The path is open-ended, but it is essential to keep in mind the original generative question, the moment when the final response must be produced, and the intended audience for that response.
