(LAM)<\/strong> nace a principios de los a\u00f1os 80 por iniciativa de los miembros del equipo de un proyecto de arqueometr\u00eda liderado por el Dr. Manuel R\u00edo. Entre los participantes en este proyecto estaba la Dra. Imma Ollich y los Dres. Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Padilla, Marius Vendrell y Prim Bertran. La idea surgi\u00f3 a ra\u00edz del viaje que realizaron a Aix-en Provence y de la visita que realizaron el Laboratoire d&#8217;Arch\u00e9ologie Medievale M\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne (LAMM), dirigido por la Dra. Gabrielle Demian de Archimbaud y donde desarrollaba su labor de investigaci\u00f3n el Dr. Jacques Thiriot.<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>El LAM ocup\u00f3 un peque\u00f1o espacio que hab\u00eda sido la secretar\u00eda del Departamento de Historia Medieval, Paleograf\u00eda y Diplom\u00e1tica, en el sexto piso de la Facultad de Geograf\u00eda e Historia en su sede del campus de Pedralbes. Hasta el a\u00f1o 1991 fue coordinado por la Dra. Imma Ollich y all\u00ed se formaron numerosas generaciones de arque\u00f3logos medievalistas que, faltos de docencia reglada, encontraron en este espacio un entorno donde aprender y llevar a cabo sus primeras investigaciones. Durante esta etapa se fue consolidando el nombre de Laboratorio de Arqueolog\u00eda Medieval (LAM) propuesto por la misma Dra. Imma Ollich.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>En 1985 el LAM organiz\u00f3 las 1as Jornadas de Arqueolog\u00eda Medieval en Catalu\u00f1a donde por primera vez constaba el nombre de Laboratorio de Arqueolog\u00eda Medieval (LAM) en el dossier con la documentaci\u00f3n que se daba a los participantes. A partir del a\u00f1o 1991, la coordinaci\u00f3n pas\u00f3 a manos de la Dra. Marta Sancho y Planas y el LAM continu\u00f3 desarrollando la funci\u00f3n de espacio de formaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Con el traslado a la nueva facultad del Raval, el LAM consigui\u00f3 disponer de unos espacios m\u00e1s adecuados y amplios, lo que nos ha permitido ampliar la actividad y acoger a un n\u00famero cada vez mayor de estudiantes y investigadores que desarrollan sus tareas en el LAM. Actualmente el LAM acoge el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grampub.com\/ub\/index.php\/ca\/\">&#8220;Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n en Arqueolog\u00eda Medieval y postmedieval&#8221;<\/a> (2001SGR00012) coordinado por M . Dolores L\u00f3pez P\u00e9rez con proyectos liderados por Imma Ollich y Karen Alvaro. Asimismo, es la sede de &#8220;Arqueolog\u00eda y Territorio&#8221;, l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n coordinada por Marta Sancho incluida dentro del <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ub.edu\/mahpa\/es\/index.html\">Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n MAHPA<\/a> (2014 SGR 794) dirigido por Blanca Gar\u00ed.
