The Serradasa site was discovered in 1997, although its existence was not made public until 1999. It is one of the few rock shelters with schematic art in the northern Valencian region. Among the motifs represented are fingermarks, which are presented in series forming clear meanders enveloping other motifs. There are also some anthropomorphic figures in inverted V and cross shapes, and a series of motifs without clear parallels, such as podomorphs, horned motifs and praying figures.<\/p>\n

These representations make Serradassa a unique site, with clear parallels, but also with exclusive (podomorphic) or uncommon elements (praying figures and horned motifs) in comparison with what we know today about the schematic art of the Mediterranean side of the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n
