Dr. Maite Muniesa and other members of the MARS group have received the project "Phage technology as an inhibitor of nitrification. Su influencia en la calidad y salud de los suelos (FAGONIT)" with the reference CPP2021-008325 funded by MICIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR. This project is led by FErtinagro Biotech and with the collaboration of CEBAS. The project will be dedicated to the isolation and characterization of bacterial viruses (bacteriophages) to treat the phytopathogens Erwinia amylovora and Xanthomonas campestris and their applicability in the field.
