The 1st IBUB Early Career Day was celebrated last June 14th, an event that was proposed and coordinated by Anna Sampietro, member from the Institut de Biomedicina de la Universitat de Barcelona (IBUB) board, and organized by other early career members of the group: Dr. Ana Mallo-Abreu, Dr. Andreea L. Turcu, Dr. Ouldouz Ghashghaei, Dr. Francisco Javier Pérez-Areales, Tuo Chen and Alba López, within other members from IBUB.

It was a wonderful event where early career members of the different groups forming the IBUB could share their research, aiming to build boundaries within the IBUB and establish new collaborations.

Moreover, we would like to highlight that Celia Escriche was awarded with the best oral communication prize, and Noemi Villella won the best flash poster presentation award. We congratulate them for their excellent work, well deserved!

We look forward to participating in the future editions, and congratulate the organizing committee for the success of the event.
