Six months ago, Dr. Carmen Escolano received the Llavor project 2023, one of the modalities of the program “Indústria del Coneixement” promoted by  Departament de Recerca i Universitats de la Generalitat de Catalunya (AGAUR). These grants include support for knowledge transfer through funding at various stages of the valorisation and transfer process.

Alba López (PhD student) has been the entrepreneur scientist of this project, entitled: Preclinical progression of a structurally new anti-glioblastoma drug. During the last 6 months she has been attending the accompaniment plan of this program, which has provided her with training and knowledge in different areas related to technology transfer.

At the end of the course, the anti-glioblastoma project was one of the eight selected to be presented at the Demoday, held on 16 July at the Auditori Antoni Caparrós of Parc Científic de Barcelona. The event was attended by different companies and potential investors.

It has been a pleasant and enriching experience for Alba.
