The MCP group had a strong presence at the XXI National Meeting of the Spanish Society of Medicinal Chemistry (SEQT 2025), recently held in Seville. This prestigious event brought together leading national and international researchers in the field of medicinal and therapeutic chemistry.
Representing the MCP group were the research teams led by Prof. Santiago Vázquez, Prof. Diego Muñoz-Torrero, Prof. Carmen Escolano, and Prof. Rodolfo Lavilla. During the congress, various scientific contributions were presented, showcasing the quality and diversity of the group’s ongoing research.
Dr. Ana Mallo-Abreu and Dr. Ouldouz Ghashghaei delivered an oral communication, in which they presented recent findings from their work, drawing significant interest from the audience. Also, Javier Sánchez had the opportunity to showcase his work through a flash poster presentation.
In addition, Dr. Andreea Larisa Turcu, Dr. Sandra Codony, Dr. Noemí Martínez-Conde, Dr. Anna Sampietro, Fernando Romero, Javier Sánchez, Celia Escriche, and Alba López presented scientific posters on their respective research projects. Notably, Celia Esceriche and Alba López were awarded the Best Poster Prize, recognizing the scientific excellence and clarity of their work.
Prof. Diego Muñoz-Torrero served as chair of Session 4, and Dr. Anna Sampietro chaired Session 8, further demonstrating the MCP group’s active involvement in the scientific program.
