Last week some members of our lab had the opportunity to attend the “VII Summer School: Medicinal Chemistry in Drug Discovery: the Pharma Perspective” at Parc Científic de Barcelona, co-organized by Sociedad Española de Química Terapéutica (SEQT) and Enantia where they learnt about the latest trends in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development in the Pharma Industry. Anna, Sandra, Pau, Giamba and Ainoa participated in a variety of workshops and presented their scientific work with a poster and flash presentation in front of their peers and an impressive scientific committee constituted by experienced scientists from the pharma industry. Special mention to Ainoa who was selected to do an oral communication where she presented the project: “Design and synthesis of novel Brd4-targeting molecules with computer assisted FBDD”. 

It was a highly rewarding experience where they had a chance to expand their connections network and had an amazing time with other young researchers!
