he candidate have to provide specialized technical support in the experimental processes and techniques developed in the Neuropharmacology research group in the laboratory.
These tasks include:
-Preparation of reagents, genotyping of animals, monitoring and maintenance of the laboratory.
-Monitoring and treatment of experimental animals (mouse and C. elegans). Behavioral assessment.
-Analysis of biological samples (RT-PCR, Western blot, ELISA, immunofluorescence, etc.).Analysis of results, application of statistical methods. Bioinformatics analysis of data.

Candidate requirements, at the time of hiring:

-Be under 30 years old

-Not having held any research position at the University of Barcelona in the period of 6 months immediately prior to signing the contract.

-Be registered as job seekers in the Community of Catalonia. However, employed young people may be selected as participants in this program, provided that, prior to the start of the subsidy contract, they terminate the previous employment relationship and register at the corresponding employment office.

The contracted person will join the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutic Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the University of Barcelona in the research group led by Dr. Mercè Pallàs and Dr. Christian Griñán-Ferré to work on lines of research related to the validation of pharmacological targets and the development of new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease.
