We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Lecturer Professors in the Medicinal Chemistry Unit.
Dr. Andreea Larisa Turcu earned her position in September 2024 and focuses her research on the advancement of drug discovery through the modulation of purinergic receptors; while Dr. Francisco Javier Pérez Areales, who joined as a Serra Húnter Fellow in 2023, aims at the discovery of chemical tools for the mechanistic study of distinct autophagy processes.
We warmly welcome them both, and are very excited for the expertise and innovation they bring with them. Their appointment represents a step forward in our mission of excellence in teaching and pharmaceutical research.
