Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility

Here you can check the financial conditions that will be applied to the Erasmus+ ICM scholarships that we offer

Individual Support

Students will receive a monthly rate according to the real duration academic stay (maximum 5 months):

In case the student stay less than 5 month, he/she will receive the proportional part according to the days.

Staff (teaching and/or training) will receive a daily rate according to the duration of the teaching/training mobility and the duration of the place covered (+2 travel days):

These staff mobility rates apply up to the 14th day of activity, after which the grant drops to 70% of the amount indicated.

Travel allowance

UB will provide a travel aid according to the travel band indicated below and the distance between the home and the host insitutitions. Travel distances must be calculated using the distance calculator supported by the European Commision. The travel distance for one direction is used to calculate the EU grant amount for the round trip.

Insurance and Visa

The University of Barcelona provides to the participant an insurance for the period covered by the programme. The insurance covers illness, accident, and repatriation.

Beneficiaries are responsible of acquiring the visa prior to the start of the mobility and also of covering the cost of it. Hosting universities will provide the necessary documents to the beneficiary to apply for the visa.

Registration Fees

Beneficiaries will pay registration fees at the home university for the Erasmus+ period awarded. By no means, any participant will have to pay regsitration fees at the hosting university for the mobility period.

What is what you liked most? The recommendation of different readings and use different examples to those I am used to

What is what you liked less? Most of the classes were in Bosnian so I couldn't follow the classes normally

3 advices for future students: Be patient for all kinds of efforts. If you have any hobby or other interests, look for an organization with which you can participate

Summary of the stay: I have learned a lot during this experience, not only because it was my first Erasmus but also because of the specific context of the country. The city of Sarajevo is beautiful and has a charm that you can only perceive when after a while living there you go a few days outside and you realize that when you return you feel it as "home".

What is what you liked most? Bolivia is a mountainous country and it has incredible landscapes, with valleys and peaks, colored buildings, cable cars. People are always friendly and happy

What is what you liked less? La Paz is located in the altiplano of more than 3500m, so the first days were a bit hard to get used to. Also, banks are a bit tricky. Many places do not accept credit card

3 advices for future students: For altitude sickness, there is a pill called Sorojchi pills. Highly recommended; Do not sports until the altitude sickness disappears; Take money notes for the first days. Currency can be exchanged in shops in the central area of La Paz

What is what you liked most? It is a very beautiful city and you can see everything here from mountains, sea, rivers and gardens

What is what you liked less? The difficulties in Barcelona are that housing is very expensive

3 advices for future students: Finding temporary accommodation before coming to Barcelona; Search on social media for roommates; Giving everything right, study time, leisure and rest

What is what you liked most? Cultural immersion and a substantial scholarship

What is what you liked less?The organization (I mean paperwork carried out before and during my stay in Barcelona) wasn't always clear. For example, I got my "UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA ERASMUS+ KA107 GUIDE" only after all the formalities prior to my arrival have been settled. I believe it would have been much easier for me to deal with some questions (for example, questions regarding visa, accommodation, university subjects, etc) if I had recived this guide earlier

3 advices for future students: 1. be active: take every possible opportunity to explore the city. It has a lot to offer. 2. try not to be shy: go out and socialise with locals or other exchange students from different countries. 3. take lots of photos:you will cherish the time you spent in Barcelona

What is what you liked most? I like the environment of Barcelona. Regarding my life at UB, the teaching mode of discussion is my favorate part.

What is what you liked most? The mentality of people of Barcelona amazed me. Everyone is smiling and easy to communicate with, they are interested in meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions. Some professors whose classes I have listened to in Barcelona have changed my understanding of art and influenced my artistic expression. Barcelona is the perfect city that has countless possibilities and everyone can find something for themselves. Beautiful city with amazing architecture, weather and culture. If I ever find a way to study at UB once again I will seize that opportunity without second thought

What is what you liked less? The fact that I could not stay longer

What is what you liked most? Unlike other types of Erasmus in Europe, at the University of Yarmouk it includes foreign students in all the activities carried out. The local students always tried to make us feel at home helping us at all times. Some subjects taught purely in Arabic, the teachers agreed to do private tutoring to explain the content of the subject again. They make you feel at home from the first moment

What is what you liked less? Being a country of Muslim religious majority, at first it is difficult to adapt to customs. It is true that the classes in Arabic were a bit difficult, especially at the beginning since I had never studied that language. But little by little the ear is getting used to it and the satisfaction of being able to understand a class in your area in Arabic is very satisfying

3 advices for future students: Leave prejudices aside, Iniciative to learn from a new culture and be open-minded to any situation

Summary of the stay: My experience in Jordan was unique. I had the great opportunity to make friends from the different countries of the Middle East (Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia), thanks to that I was able to know first hand what was happening at that time. I had never known Arab culture and thanks to being in a small city where there were very few European students, all my friendships were local people who day by day taught me their culture and customs. It was a total immersion in the culture and thanks to that I learnt Arabic.
