French embassy to Spain - Scientific Calls 2026
Within the framework of Spanish-French bilateral cooperation, we are pleased to inform you that the French Embassy once again affirms its commitment to scientific research by convening its two programmes aimed at strengthening scientific ties between our countries. We would be very grateful if you could disseminate this information to your departments, doctoral schools and interested researchers.
On the one hand, mobility grants for research stays in France are announced, aimed exclusively at doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers enrolled in a Spanish higher education or research centre. These mobilities, lasting two weeks or one month with an endowment of €925 or €1,850 respectively, are designed to take place during the second half of 2026. It is required not to have French nationality.
On the other hand, we have a grant program for confirmed researchers that awards grants of €1,000 per project within the framework of Spanish-French cooperation. The grant is modular and can be used for the publication of scientific articles, the purchase of material, the mobility of researchers or the organization of academic events such as seminars and conferences.
Both calls focus on strategic areas: health, space, quantum, artificial intelligence, circular economy, energy, climate, electronics, ageing and the fight against disinformation, including the human and social sciences linked to these topics.
The application period for both programs will remain open from this Tuesday, February 17 until March 9, 2026.
