Günther Schütz Symposium

Günther Schütz Symposium

If you have ever worked with, collaborated with or met Günther Schütz, a leading researcher in the study of nuclear receptors (glucocorticoid receptor and other members of the family) and in animal transgenesis technologies, you may be interested to know that the researchers trained in his laboratory we have organized a symposium in his honor in Heidelberg, on May 19 and 20, 2022, to remember him, after his death in 2020, and to meet again after the years.

There are many of his “scientific sons and daughters”, since Günther was at Columbia University in New York between 1969-1975, then at the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Biology in Berlin between 1975-1980 and finally at the DKFZ in Heidelberg, from 1980 until his retirement in 2015.
He published ~400 works and from his group we have produced ~40 researchers who have established our laboratories all over the world.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, please help us distribute this information, which you will find, along with instructions for registering at:
