Laboratory Technician for the Nuclear Receptors and Signaling Group, CNB (CISIC)

The Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB) is a research centre that is part of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the most important scientific institution in Spain. The CNB is distinguished by its versatile interdisciplinary research that combines molecular biology methods with the latest technology in the fields of functional and structural biology.

A “Laboratory Technician” position is being announced to work in the “Nuclear Receptors and Signalling” group, under the direction of Dr. Mercedes Ricote, to provide technical support to her research team in the various projects they carry out.

Essential requirement:

  • Be in possession of the title of Senior Technician of Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician, within the framework of vocational training of the educational system, in the biosanitary area.
  • In the case of being in possession of a foreign academic degree, the corresponding credential of homologation to the equivalent degree in Spain must be held, issued by the competent body for the recognition of foreign educational degrees and qualifications. Be under 30 years of age on the date of contracting with the beneficiary entity
  • Be unemployed until the day prior to contracting with the beneficiary entity.
  • Not be linked to the CNB (CSIC) on the date of publication of the call for applications “Youth Employment Program of the Community of Madrid 2024/25 in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (June 10, 2024).

Valuable Requirements:

  • Experience in maintenance, generation and management of transgenic mouse colonies as an experimental model.
  • Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques: Extraction and purification of nucleic acids, genotyping by PCR, flow cytometry, cell cultures, etc.
  • Experience in stock management and organization of a research laboratory.
