This methodology enables the simultaneous profiling of nearly 2,000 metabolites, covering:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Endogenous metabolites<\/li>\n<li>Food-derived compounds<\/li>\n<li>Pharmaceuticals and their metabolites<\/li>\n<li>Household and personal care product residues<\/li>\n<li>Environmental pollutants<\/li>\n<li>Microbiota-derived bioactives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"465\" data-end=\"750\">Published in Analytical Chemistry (2020), this methodology was recognized as Research Article of the Year 2021 by the American Chemical Society and by leading journals including the International Journal of Obesity, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"992\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Its clinical relevance and translational potential have been validated in multiple studies, including dietary intervention trials and cohort-based applications in the fields of cardiometabolic health, Centre (TMIC Wishart Node) and the University of Alberta, we have developed an innovative metabolomics panel capable of quantifying over 700 metabolites in serum and plasma, essential for clinical research and biomarker discovery.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"508\" data-is-last-node=\"\">The MEGA assay employs liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS\/MS) in consider various factors, including genetics, gender, environmental characteristics (e.g., dietary habits, eating behavior, and physical activity), microbiota, and metabolome.
