We welcome you to the OSSMA website, the Prevention Service of the University of Barcelona.
One of the University’s priority objectives is to guarantee the safety and health of all its staff, students, employees of external companies and visitors, in accordance with the commitments made in theStatute of the UB, the Prevention plan and the Prevention policy, respecting the provisions of the regulations in force.
The OSSMA is responsible for analysing and proposing the preventive activities necessary to guarantee the adequate protection of the safety and health of the university community, advising and assisting the governing bodies, the administrations, the employees, their representatives and the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
In order to achieve this objective and for the UB to become an example of safety and health, it is essential that risk prevention be integrated into the entire University structure, which means that the following must be attributed to it functions and responsibilities in preventive matters at all levels of the hierarchy.
This website is a tool for disseminating basic and essential information that will help the UB to achieve this goal, and to show the entire university community the activities and actions carried out by the OSSMA.
