Before that, he was at Princeton University: first as Instructor (2013-2016) and later promoted to Assistant Professor and appointed Director of Graduate Studies (2016-2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His research interests are analysis, spectral geometry, partial differential equations (PDE) arising in fluid mechanics, and computer-assisted proofs applied to those equations. A fundamental role in his research has come from having accurate numerics together with a deep understanding of the regularity theory. He has been especially successful in the interplay between rigorous computer calculations and traditional mathematics, leading to computer-assisted proofs in PDE. Lately, he has also been investigating research directions connected to machine learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His research has been published in journals such as the Annals of Mathematics, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Duke Mathematical Journal and has been sponsored by agencies such as the US National Science Foundation and the Simons Foundation. From September 2016 to October 2020 she was a Ph.D. student in cotutelle between the University of Granada (Spain) and University of Rennes 1 (France), funded by a national Spanish FPU grant (ref. FPU15\/04094). Her two advisors were Juan Soler and Taoufik Hmidi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her research focuses on the analysis of relative equilibria in Partial Differential Equations. In May 2021, he finished his PhD at the Georgia Institute of Technology with the thesis &#8220;On the stationary and uniformly-rotating solutions of active scalar equations&#8221; under the supervision of Dr. Yao Yao. Later he finished his&nbsp;PhD thesis titled <em>Global Regularity for Incompressible Fluid Interfaces<\/em>&nbsp;under the supervision of&nbsp;Prof. Dr. Francisco Gancedo&nbsp;(Universidad de Sevilla and&nbsp;IMUS). From August 2018 to July 2020, he was a Hans Rademacher Instructor of Mathematics at University of Pennsylvania, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Robert M. Strain, after which he joined the &#8220;CAPA&#8221; team. Previously he did his a double degree in Mathematics and Physics Engineering at UPC \u2013 CFIS, and spent the year 2019-2020 at Princeton writing his senior thesis (which was awarded the 2020 Emmy Noether Prize) under the supervision of Javier G\u00f3mez-Serrano. She will defend her thesis titled <em>Integrodifferential equations for fluids in two dimensions<\/em> on May 2022, and after that start as a CLE Moore Instructor at MIT.
