Assessment system

In general, the evaluation of the achievement of learning in relation to the specific competencies of a subject can be continuous or unique, see: Normative regulation of teaching plans for subjects and the evaluation and qualification of learning (approved by the Government Council on May 8, 2012).

The continuous evaluation incorporates the various evidences indicated in the teaching plan of the subject, which are collected in a progressive and integrated manner throughout the teaching-learning process.

In addition to the details of the continuous evaluation, the teaching plan also includes the characteristics of the single evaluation, recognized as a right of the student who, by exercising it, waives the continuous evaluation.

The relevant details of the evaluation systems for each subject of the Master's curriculum can be found in the respective teaching plans.

As an exceptional case, the evaluation of the Final Master's Thesis (TFM) is subject to a different process from the rest of the subjects given its differential characteristics. The TFM is evaluated at 50% for the director of the group or laboratory where the student does the TFM. This evaluation is guided by a Rubric suitable to assess the student's trajectory in the months of experimental work (Methodological Capacity, Student Motivation, Work Capacity, Creative Capacity, Innovative Capacity, Experimental Competencies and capacity for integration and group work). The other 50% is evaluated by the panel made up of 3 experts, where the student presents and explains his TFM and defends it before the questions posed by the panel. In this case there is an appropriate Rubric that assesses the student's communication skills within the field of immunology (formally assesses the TFM and the content, and the presentation and defense of the TFM).
