tomo3d is a travel-time tomography code in 3D that uses both refractions and reflections to derive the velocity distribution of the subsurface together with the geometry of sharp geological contrasts such as the plates' interface in a subduction zone. The forward modelling method is a combination of the shortest path and the bending refinement methods, and the inverse problem is iteratively solved using the LSQR algorithm. The code is on its final stage of development, and I will illustrate my presentation with some of the synthetic results from the debugging and benchmarking tests.
