Research lines: Formulation, preparation, processing, and characterization of products in the following areas:

  • Dispersed systems: emulsions, microemulsions, nanoemulsions, sols, gels, foams, etc.
  • Surfactant-based systems (phase diagrams, emulsion stabilization...).
  • Polymers and biopolymers (preparation of hydrogels for the food and cosmetic industries, preparation of edible films for the food industry).
  • Formulation and characterization of oleogels and bigels for the food and cosmetic industries.
  • Particle technology (encapsulation of active ingredients).
  • Micro- and mesoporous materials.
  • Viscometry and rheology. Rheology services are offered to companies and other research groups.
  • Design and optimization of new products.
