The bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences offers a cross disciplinary approach through the scientific disciplines that come together and intend to intertwine the student's knowledge with the needs of society. Therefore, in addition to the skills of any university student (initiative, curiosity, ability to work in a team, etc.), it is advisable to have a base (at the high school level) of physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology and biology; basic notions of English; knowledge of basic computer tools; interest in acquiring solid scientific training, in knowing the relationships between science and society, and in knowing interdisciplinary and comprehensive visions; vocation to interact with various social agents and for marine sciences, and social, environmental and ethical sensitivity. It is recommended to read about related topics, contact the marine environment, attend dissemination activities, make courses on skills that can be useful (computer science, English, etc.), pay attention to the scientific subjects in high school, contact marine scientists and develop reading and writing skills.
