The Green Team, a group of students of the master of Reservoir Geology and Geophysics (UB-UAB) of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, has been selected amongst teams from all over the world to pass to the final phase of the EAGE Minus CO2 Challenge.

The Minus CO2 Challenge is a competition organized by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), and sponsored by companies such as Equinor, Schlumberger and Total, in which the students are challenged to develop a hydrocarbon production plan from a subsurface reservoir with zero CO2 emissions and economically viable.

The Green Team is integrated by Mahdi Bakhtbidar, Dayana Abreu, Zeina Naim, Álvaro Solano and Raha Hafizi. All of them have studied the master during the academic year 2019-2020. After having passed through the semi-finals, they will compete for the prize with two other teams.

Good luck, Green Team!
