Professor Rubén Alcázar has secured funding for his research project

Dr. Rubén Alcázar, professor in the Plant Physiology Section of the Department of Biology, Health, and Environment at the University of Barcelona (UB), has obtained funding for his project under the "Grants for Public-Private Collaboration Projects" call from the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Thanks to the support of the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, the UB has received a total of €977,069.94.

The project led by Dr. Alcázar, titled "New Strategies for Nematode Biocontrol with Rhizospheric Microorganisms (RhizoNem)", is being developed in collaboration with Lainco, which coordinates it, and Leitat. The objective is to explore new solutions based on rhizospheric microorganisms for nematode biocontrol, thus contributing to more sustainable agriculture.
