Introduction

The bachelor's degree in History provides the essential tools, methods and techniques to interpret the past, as well as essential training to understand and explain the present and prepare the future. Students acquire broad knowledge and the ability to study a given era in depth.

The bachelor's degree in History provides knowledge of the analytical methods, techniques, and analytical instruments used in the discipline. It prepares students for research and the dissemination of knowledge, as well as management of cultural heritage information and resources. It analyses the behaviour of human societies throughout history based on the principle of multi-causality and in relation to various types of phenomena (political, economic, cultural, etc.). Students learn to build a congruent historical argument and make it understandable to others, expressing it clearly and coherently, both orally and in writing, making proper use of discipline-specific terminology. It generates esteem for the past and for historical, cultural, artistic and archaeological heritage, while fostering recognition of the diversity of cultures and civilizations. It promotes respect for foreign values and cultural traditions and for the development of civic awareness.
