Studies Board

The academic councils are joint bodies of students and teaching staff. Every council elects the Head of Studies among its members. The Head of Studies appoints the council secretary. This body's functions comprise the following:

  1. To ensure coherence and interrelation between the subjects in each teaching area in the framework of the course curriculum.
  2. To organize the teaching programmes every year and monitor teaching practices. 
  3. To supervise and approve course plans and subject descriptions.
  4. To suggest optional and free-elective subjects, determine the department responsible for teaching them and organize their teaching.
  5. To prepare class schedules and the examination calendar.
  6. To ensure compliance of assessment regulations and academic planning.
