Today, the elections for Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Communication were held. The new Faculty Board, formed following the elections of representatives of permanent teaching and research staff (PDI), other PDI, and administrative and service staff (PTGAS) held on May 15, was constituted this Wednesday and has elected Dr. Joan G. Burguera as the new Dean of the Faculty.

The vote count resulted in 32 votes in favor of Dr. Burguera’s candidacy and 3 blank votes. In the coming weeks, the Rector of the University of Barcelona will proceed with the appointment of the new Dean and their team.
