New call for Màster+UB grants for the academic year 2020/2021 to promote scientific vocations

News | 27-05-2020

Applications to access the second Edition of the Màster+UB grant program can be submitted until June 22. The program offers 53 grants aimed at master degree students with a good academic record. The grant holders will collaborate in a research group study of the UB and will work on a research project which will be their master’s degree final project. The aim of this call is to attract talent and promote scientific vocations.

Most of the Màster+UB grants last eight months, with a 15-hour dedication and a sum of 370 euros per month. The grants of this second edition have a complementary aid of 60,000 euros funded by Santander Bank, to be distributed equally among the grant holders of Master+UB. Apart from the economic aid of these grants, the students will benefit from a leading research environment and be part of a research study.

To apply for the Màster+UB grants, students need to have a minimum score in their records. For engineering studies, this is 7.25; for Experimental Sciences and Social and Law Sciences, 7.70; for Health Sciences, 7.80; and for Arts and Humanities, 8. Apart from the academic records, other aspects will be valued, like the candidates’ curriculum and their research project proposal.

The grants, subject to the regulation of UB collaboration grants, are funded by the Vice-rector’s Office of Students and Language Policy, as well as faculties, and research groups and institutes.
