Agreement to create the Observatory of European systems of complementary social pension plans.

On May 15, the Governing Council of the University of Barcelona approved the creation of the Observatory of European Complementary Social Pension Plans Systems.

Among the training activities that are part of the Observatory, it is worth highlighting the organization of the Higher University Course in Employment Plans. Among the transfer activities of the Observatory, it is worth highlighting what we can consider as its own embryo: the Special Annual Pensions Conference, an event open to the public in which the current situation of the pension system in Spain is analyzed and that from now it will also incorporate the European realities that surround us in the analysis and reflection.

The scientific direction of the project will be under the aegis of the consolidated Financial and Actuarial Modeling research group and its PI, Dr. M.Mercè Claramunt. The Directorate of the Observatory in Dr. Xavier Varea (member of the aforementioned Research Group)
