Mercedes Ayuso, winner of the 2025 Galicia Segura Award for Insurance Research

 

March 19, 2025.- Mercedes Ayuso, professor of Actuarial Statistics at the University of Barcelona and researcher at RISKcenter, has received the 2025 Galicia Segura Award for Insurance Research for her contribution to insurance research, especially in pensions and financial sustainability.

The Galicia Segura Awards are given in six different categories: Insurance Distribution, Insurance Companies, Progress and Development, Insurance Research, Management, and Galician Companies. They are intended to recognize the professional values of organizations, institutions, companies, or professionals for their dedication to risk and insurance at the national and international levels. They have been awarded annually since 2003 at the initiative of the consulting firm INADE, Instituto Atlántico del Seguro (Atlantic Insurance Institute), which transferred its organization to the INADE Foundation in 2009.

The awards ceremony will be held on May 14 in Santiago de Compostela.
