In particular the Chair focuses on the analysis and development of quantitative methods and the economic management of risks, as regulated by Solvency II and Basel III. The Chair, founded by the University of Barcelona, has its roots in the fields of finance, risk management and insurance. Its activities have a clear preference for multidisciplinary work and its objective is to promote education, research and technology transfer in related fields within the study of economics.
