The winner thesis in the 10th edition was \u2018Big Data of social networks: Personality traits as an explanatory variable in GLM models for insurance claim counts\u2019, authored by the student Andr\u00e9s Santiago Dur\u00e1n Proa\u00f1o and supervised by Catalina Bolanc\u00e9 \u00a0(Riskcenter, UB).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ceremony 10<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> edition of the VidaCaixa-UB insurance awards was held at the CaixaForum Barcelona on the 22<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of November. The welcoming address was given by Jesus Garc\u00eda (Human resources director, VidaCaixa) and Ramon Alemany (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UB). Ismael Moreno (VidaCaixa) and Miguel Santolino (Director of the Actuarial and Financial Sciences Master program, UB) participated in the event. At the end of the event a cocktail was served and a guided tour of the exhibition of Andy Warhol was offered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a
