A Closer Look at the MSc in Economics Class of 2027
The UB School of Economics welcomed 38 new students to the MSc in Economics for the 2025-2026 academic year, including mobility students. These students represent 18 different nationalities, with an average age of 24,8 years old. More precisely, 44,7 % are from Asia, 34,2 % from Europe, 13,2 % from North America, 5,3 % from Africa and 2,6 % from South America.
This diverse group of people will now pursue a cutting-edge programme designed to train and educate young economists to undertake top research in Economics. These students enrolled in the MSc in Economics have undergraduate degrees in Economics (64,9 %), Business and Administration (18,9 %), Mathematics or Engineering (8,1 %), and Other Social Science degrees (10,8 %), and studied in prestigious institutions like Trinity College Dublin, University of Toronto, University of Amsterdam, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, University of California, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Sapienza Università di Roma, and Corvinus University of Budapest.
The director of the programme, Dr Vahagn Jerbashian, welcomed the new class of the MSc in Economics on September 25, 2025. During this session, students received guidance on the programme as well as information on all resources and services offered by the university.
