Germà Bel and Montserrat Guillén, among the Best Economics and Finance Scientists in Spain in the Research.com 2025 ranking
The 4th Edition of the Research.com ranking of the best scholars in the disciplines of Economics and Finance has been released. The ranking is based on data compiled from multiple sources, including OpenAlex and CrossRef, up until November 27st, 2024.
Our researchers, Germà Bel and Montserrat Guillén, have been included in the ranking among the Best Economics and Finance Scientists in Spain, each climbing one position compared to last year’s ranking. Both Bel and Guillén also improved their positions in the international ranking.
Bel is ranked as the 10th Best Economics and Finance Scientist in Spain and 924th in the world, with nearly 11000 citations, 204 publications, and a D-Index of 52. Bel is a member of GiM, the Research Group on Governments and Markets, and UB|IREA, the Research Institute in Applied Economics, as well as a researcher in the UB School of Economics.
Guillén is ranked as the 11th Best Economics and Finance Scientist in Spain, also being the top woman in Spain, and 1130th in the world, with almost 7000 citations, 276 publications, and a D-Index of 48. Guillén is a member of RISK, the Research Group on Risk in Insurance and Finance, and UB|IREA, as well as a researcher in the UB School of Economics.
