New edition of the ‘UB’s science cafés’
During the week of 23 November, will take place the activity ‘Cafès científics de la UB‘. This is a series of meetings in which experts from various fields at the University of Barcelona will be holding a virtual café to share their knowledge with the public, thus offering a multidisciplinary view of the current pandemic.
Through these online meetings, the UB Faculty of Economics and Business joins the European Researchers’ Night to debate the current situation from different points of view.
On the 25th, at 18:00 CET, it will take place the science café ‘Pandemics’. An interdisciplinary view of the UB’s research institutes‘. Among other experts, Sergi Basco, a member of the BEAT economics research institute, will be taking part. At the meeting, which can be followed online via Zoom, different UB research institutes will discuss the pandemic from different perspectives in order to reach a new and multidimensional understanding of the phenomenon, beyond the medical and health fields. They will analyse, among other issues, the economic and social effects of the crisis, as well as its philosophical and moral implications.
