Our researcher Judit Vall appointed new president of the Catalan Economic Society

Judit Vall Castelló, researcher at the UB School of Economics, has been appointed president of the Catalan Economic Society, a branch of the Institute for Catalan Studies. The appointment strengthens the Faculty’s presence in one of the country’s main spaces for debate and the promotion of economic research.

In addition, Elisenda Paluzie, also a researcher at the UB School of Economics, continues in her position as secretary and treasurer of the Society, further consolidating the active role of our centre in this leading institution.

An applied economist, Judit Vall specializes in the analysis of public policies, particularly in the fields of health economics and labour markets. She holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a master’s degree from the University of Essex, and a PhD from Maastricht University, where she completed her doctoral studies with a Marie Curie scholarship.

UB School of Economics congratulates Judit Vall on her appointment!
