Researchers at the UB volunteer to bring research closer to society
The University of Barcelona has launched the “Camins infinits” and the “Toc-toc” projects, in which researchers volunteer to bring their research closer to society. Researchers in training at the University of Barcelona may join the “Camins infinits” volunteer bank. All participants volunteer to make a face-to-face or online presentation at a primary or secondary school. During this session, they explain the research that they are conducting. This also helps them to improve their communication skills. Researchers at the University of Barcelona may also join the “Toc-toc” project in order to participate in educational chat sessions where they explain in a clear and concise way the research that they are conducting at schools, civic centres and other local entities.
