UB School of Economics to offer Erasmus exchange opportunities with University of Paris-Saclay
The Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics will offer Erasmus exchange opportunities with the University of Paris-Saclay to MSc in Economics students and lecturers. An agreement was signed earlier this year between the Faculty of Economics and Business at the UB and the French Grande École ENSAE ParisTech, founding member of the University of Paris-Saclay and one of the leading graduate schools in the fields of statistics, economics, finance and actuarial science in France.
The UB School of Economics will include the French university in the list of Erasmus destinations as soon as 2017/18, with exchanges starting on 2018/19. Likewise, students and staff at the University of Paris-Saclay may apply for temporary stays at our institution. Two places will be offered to MSc students at the University of Barcelona each academic year. The stays will take place during the first term. On the other hand, up to four lecturers at the UB School of Economics may apply for stays of 2-10 days at Paris-Saclay.
Located in the South and South-West area of the Ile-de-France region, the University of Paris-Saclay is a cluster of 18 research institutions, including some of the best Grandes Écoles, public universities, and research centers in France, such as HEC Paris, Ecole normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, École polytechnique, Institut Mines-Télécom, Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Université Paris-Sud, among others. They all decided to join forces with the aim of building a world top-10 university and the university was finally established in 2014.
Other Erasmus destinations offered by the UB School of Economics include the Toulouse School of Economics (France), the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), the University of Helsinki (Finland) and the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (France).
