New edition of ‘The UB in figures’ with the highlights of the year 2020/2021

With the occasion of the inauguration of the academic year, the new edition of The UB in figures has been published. The document summarizes the main strengths of the University and its academic activity, and the evolution of some variables over the last years.

For the academic year 2021-2022, a total of 72 bachelor’s degrees courses, 15 dual study pathways, 170 master’s degrees courses and 46 doctoral programmes have been approved.

In the chapter dedicated to research, the document highlights 958 active research projects and the increase in the number of scientific publications, which reaches 7,112 publications. As for the main data in research structures, the report presents sixteen UB-specific research institutes and the eleven observatories. Moreover, it highlights the fact that four of these UB institutes feature the María de Maeztu excellence accreditation.

The document reports that employment rate for Bachelor’s gradautes is 88.8%, according to the AQU employment outcome study. As for the master’s graduates, the rate is 88.7% and it reaches 93.3% for PhD graduates.

Lastly, the “UB in figures” report shows that in 2020 were raised funds for research and transfer for 139,837 euros.
