The UB School of Sociology is excited to welcome a distinguished group of new researchers to the University of Barcelona. These new colleagues bring expertise across many fields of sociology that will enrich our research environment, enhance the student learning experience, and foster collaborations across the Departments, its research structures, and the broader university community.
This year, 5 new researchers have joined our Faculty.
• Eduard Ballesté-Isern joins the Department of Sociology as an Assistant Professor. His research interests focus on Inequality, Welfare, quality of life and social policies, Social organizations, and Environment, communities and society. He belongs to Welfare, Community and Social Control (COPOLIS) research group.
• Irene Maria Cussó joins the Department of Sociology as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests include Welfare, quality of life and social policies.
• Joan Domènech joins the Department of Sociology as an Assistant Professor. His research interests focus on Inequality, and Social organizations. He belongs to Socio-economic Ethics and Epistemology of Social Sciences (GREECS) research group.
• Rommy Morales-Olivares joins the Department of Sociology as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests include Inequality, Social organizations, and Environment, communities and society. She belongs to Creativity, Innovation and Urban Transformation (CRIT) research group.
• Victoria Sanchez Belando joins the Department of Sociology as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Her research interests focus on Environment, communities and society, and Culture, knowledge and innovation. She belongs to Center for the Study of Culture, Politics and Society (CECUPS) research group.
